How Do First Wives View Polygamy in Terms of Adaptation and Family Cohesiveness?

The purpose of this study was to identify the aspects adaptation and cohesiveness in terms experiences first wives polygamous families Malaysia. A total six were interviewed in-depth, face-to-face interviews using predetermined questions. then transcribed analyzed thematic analysis, with following four themes emerging: don’t overthink, train yourself be independent, accept polygamy an open heart submit God, constantly adapt new environment. findings are explained, major implications thereof discussed detail. These expected help providing guidance instruction those who have had bad experiences, conflicts, or difficulties adjusting polygamy. It is shown, fact, that most can successfully strive face challenges life without resorting divorce.
